Trainers at Knebworth include:
Julie Jones: Our success was repeated 3 years later, the same year that Viv Knights won the Dog Championship. We are very proud of the fact that Knebworth is the only club to have won both dog and bitch championships in the same year. I have also trained another collie who became an obedience champion, and have trained several dogs since. I also train and compete in flyball. I am a qualified Obedience Judge at Open/Championship obedience shows, and work for the Young Kennel Club as obedience co-ordinator for the juniors. At Knebworth I train the puppy class and the beginners."
Mary Dillon:
Mary is an active competitor in obedience competitions, and also judges at open and championship shows as well as attending courses run by some of the top trainers in the country.Mary also competes in flyball. Mary with 'Sealight Express' (Tarka) has now qualified out of novice working A and B also gained Kennel Club Excellent dog Certificate for Novice. Her younger dog 'Starlight Express' (Merlin) will be ready for competition this year.
Mike Dillon:
Mick is our administration officer and trains the advanced class. He has trained dogs in obedience and competed in obedience competitions since 1981.Mick is also a recognised Kennel Club Judge and judges classes on a regular basis around the country. Mick also competes in flyball.
Viv Knights:
"I have been very fortunate as all my dogs have made it to the top. My ultimate success was winning Crufts Championship Dog Obedience in 1982 with 'Triclen Duke of Great Meadows'I have been with Knebworth DTC for over 25 years. My main interest is training dogs for the Kennel Club 'Good Citizens' awards." |
